Worst Diets Ever Exposed

Over the last few years, diets have become increasingly popular. While many people are struggling to lose weight and maintain it, it would seem that every few months a new diet is being introduced that promises to give the results that these weight conscious people are looking for.

However, with so many diets available these days, the majority of them are literally not effective at all, and the sad news is that those that are seriously looking for help to shed a few pounds are left in a stressful situation, which can often be dangerous to their overall health.

For that reason, we would like to reveal the worst 5 weight loss programs ever designed to provide you with an idea of the diets that was never successful, and will possibly never be.

The Worst 5 Diet Programs:

#1 Ambitious Diets

Those weight loss plans that promise to be the solution to all your weight problems should be completely avoided. If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

A diet that promise over-the-top claims or “magic formula” solutions that will make you look and feel good or a “miracle diet plan” with a certain recipe that will help you lose weight fast should definitely be avoided at all cost. You should opt for a diet plan that is realistic and requires effort on your part to lose weight, this way when you see results it will be worth it is as you know you were the one to help make a difference in the way you look and feel.

#2 Detox Diets

This is by far one of the most dangerous diets to go through, to say the least. Any diet that requires you to detox using colonics or body cleansers as a part of some type of diet plan should be regarded as dangerous.

There isn’t any real scientific evidence that supports that by putting yourself through such a traumatic and unenjoyably experience this will help you to look and feel great.

Your body can do almost all the things that a cleanser is designed to do on its own, and detox is only something that you should consider if you have to go to rehab clinic or something similar. Therefore, it would be in your best interest to avoid any detox diet program that requires all this effort for minimal gains.

#3 Fasting Diets

Known as one of the most dangerous diets available, Fasting diets exist for many years now- and till now it is still considered to be dangerous. To begin with, starving yourself to lose weight is rather counter-productive.

Once your body does not get enough calories, it will change your metabolism to match your present circumstances. Having said that, it has difficulty to re-adjust once you start eating again resulting in an unbalanced metabolism and a physique that feels out of sync.

Even worse, the majority of the weight you are losing will be a combination of fluids, muscle and fat, however, when you eat as you normally would only fat enters. This causes you to experience signs of fatigue, leaving you with less energy and making you feel pretty bad most of the time.

#4 Limited Selection Diets

These types of diets that restrict you to only eat one type of food for example, the “raw food only” or the “cabbage soup only” diet is the kind of diets that you should definitely avoid. Your body will not get the nutrition it needs to function properly from only consuming one type of food.

While a limited diet can cause you to lose weight for the reason that the food you are taking in is great for weight loss, this is not the type of diet that we would recommend to anyone. While you lose weight with these types of diets, you also lose a lot of nutrition in the process and this will lead to even greater health problems than weight loss.

Do not opt for any diet that restricts you to only eat one type of food. Eating only one type of food will not only become boring, but it will have a negative effect on your health in the long run.

#5 Miracle Diets

Avoid any diet that makes prophetic promises in regards to what you are going to be eating. If there is some type of miracle food, scientist would have discovered it by now.

In the real world, there is not one single type of food, or even a combination of it, when eaten at a certain time of the day will help you to magically lose weight.

Almost all of your nutrition should result from the food that you consume – not some miracle concoction!
